As we go into 2025 Flynet have commissioned a mainframe market report. We will be interviewing industry leaders with mainframe experience to understand the issues they are facing, their ambitions and what they would like to see from the next generation of terminal emulators.
Interview Suitability Criteria:
To provide an accurate assessment of the mainframe landscape and have a meaningful dialogue regarding pain points and feature requests, interview candidates must have the following knowledge/experience:
- Knowledge of the mainframe applications, including:
Applications that use the emulator
What the applications do
How long they have been in use
Who uses them
How they are accessed- devices, locations etc.
- Current terminal emulator in use in the organisation, including:
Vendor
Product
User Count
Length of use
Contract type
- General understanding of the organization’s IT roadmap, security considerations, business priorities and procurement process.
